The first part of the trip was with my good mate Paul and his son Mitch, my god son, aged 5.5. We based ourselves down at Bynoe for 3 days. The highlight was catching CrabasourisRex, the biggest crab we have ever captured. We also got a few barra.
I also got to hang with a few Darwin mates and squeezed in a trip back down to Bynoe with my favourite Dutchmen. We got a nice mixed bag of species, inc barra, jack, snapper, threadie before being chased back to the boat ramp by a storm.
The second set of building tides was was spent exploring the northern half of the Asperly straight with Paul onboard our friend Jason's yacht as our mother ship, with our trusty barra boat in tow. Barra fishing was tough, with only 3 boated, but we caught plenty of jacks casting the creeks. As the barra weren't on the chew we did more reef fishing with great success getting MSPs and Goldies jigging shallow reefs.
