Another trip to Barradise, however this one had a twist. The boat that Paul kindly shares with me was broken, awaiting parts. This threw a spanner in the works. However a good mate of Leigh's, whom I had met briefly before, Barry, offered for me to join he and an ol mate Rod for a couple of days hunting Barra. I pounced at the offer.
The first day was to do my regular Bynoe harbour run. The second to fish Darwin Harbour with a mix of Barry's secret spots and a few of mine.
Pretty much every spot produced as expected and a few excelled. The fish spoils were quite evenly shared between the three of us. The standout lure again was the infamous 4" pumpkin seed Mullet.
18 Barra to the boat in Bynoe, and 20 for Darwin Harbour. A couple were kept for the table. Bloody good for middle of the dry. Two fantastic days on the water with the boys. However, i did cop a lure to the face on Rod's back cast. First time me, on anyone on my boat has been stuck by a lure.
