Mar 2013 - Darwin - Ivano visit

Ivano was supposed to be here in June 2012, but his darling wife was nine tenths up the duff. Good thing he did stay behind as little Zoe was born while the other draftees and I were in Arhnem Land.

Short and sweet this visit. We did the tourist highlights around Darwin and a day trip to Litchfield NP. 

We did get one morning on the water, doing a hit and run to one of my favourite Darwin Harbour spots. Timing is everything. You need to fish as the water leaves the tidal flat, then bolt back to the boat ramp before Darwin's epic tides leave it high and dry.  Leigh joined us for this run.  Although Ivano's one and only barra was not legal, we did get a nice blue salmon in the esky so he could enjoy a fresh fish meal before returning home to Canberra.
