Nov 2014 - Wiligi

Another great trip out to Arhnem Land. This time with Woodside and Holder, aka Leigh (Leeward Side) and Rod (Rod Holder). It was great to get these masters of the long wand (fly rod) out to Wiligi. Sight fishing was not as good as previous years but the boys got onto plenty of fish.

Points

• Taking 2 spare springs to endure the trailer graveyard. But helping some blokes out on our trip in by giving them one of our spares. We still had one spare. Cool. Then we broke a spring half way through our trip driving the rough road from camp to the Mini Mini boat ramp. OK so now we are on wood. All we have to do is drive the 5.5 hours down the trailer graveyard with no spares. No big deal. Wrong. We broke another F*#king spring, bad batch straight out of Wuhan. So with no option we cut down a suitable sapling and cut it to size. I was installing the sapling where the spring should be and wiring in position when we heard a vehicle. This  is a very remote road with only a hand full of vehicles a day. It turned out to be the Guide from Endyalgout Island pulling out at the end of the season. Long story short, he gave us a spring and we were up and going a short time after.
